Thalang Road is three minutes on foot. So is the Sunday Walking Street, the weekend market, and most of the cafes people come to Phuket Town for. Guests keep saying the same thing: they never had to call a taxi.
The cafe downstairs runs a La Marzocco and prices its coffee like a cafe, not a hotel. People who are not staying here come in for it. That is the bar we set for the morning.
Old Town was built for feet, not cars, and most hotels here have nowhere to put one. We have more than fifty spaces and they cost nothing. If you are driving down from Bangkok or up from the beaches, this is the whole trip made easier.
Rooms
Every room has air conditioning, a smart TV with Netflix, fast wifi, a proper work desk, and Horange toiletries. The difference between them is space and light, not quality.
Most requested
The one people book on purpose. Same layout as the Deluxe with a full tub in the bathroom. Worth it after a day walking Old Town in the heat.
Most space
The largest thing we have. Room to spread out, unpack properly, and still have somewhere to sit that is not the bed. Good for longer stays and for families.
Standard
Window, amber wall, good bed, clean bathroom. Everything you need and nothing you are paying for twice. Our best value room by a distance.
Superior
The room with the arched windows the building is known for. Morning light comes in properly. Same setup as the Standard, better view out.
Quietest
More floor space and an open bathroom layout. No window, which is worth knowing before you book, and which is exactly why it stays dark, quiet and cool through the middle of the day.

The cafe
Downstairs, from early. Proper espresso, a real breakfast, and somewhere to sit and work out where you are walking first. Open to anyone, which is why locals use it too. That tends to be a good sign.
The building
The arches are borrowed from the old shophouses down the road. Everything behind them was built recently.

No. Horange is a low-rise building and there is no elevator, so you will be taking stairs to your room. If stairs are difficult, tell us when you book and we will put you on the ground or first floor if anything is open.
No. The Deluxe Room and the Deluxe with Bathtub both have no window. That is why those two stay quieter and cooler through the afternoon, and it is part of why they are priced the way they are. If daylight matters to you, book a Standard, Superior or Studio instead.
Yes to both. Over 50 spaces, no charge, no booking needed. It is the main reason people driving around Phuket choose us over somewhere deeper inside Old Town where there is nowhere to stop at all.
About three minutes on foot to Thalang Road, which is where the Sunday Walking Street runs. The Yellow Clock Tower is around five minutes. You will not need a taxi to get into Old Town.
We are on Phuket Road, which is a working street, and some guests do mention hearing the corridor or the road. Rooms at the back and the two no-window rooms are the quietest. Ask us for a quiet room when you book and we will do what we can.
No, it is open to anyone, and plenty of people who are not staying here come in for the coffee. It runs a La Marzocco and charges cafe prices rather than hotel prices.
Orange is treated as an auspicious colour in Phuket and the fruit is a symbol of good fortune here. The building borrows the arched windows from the old Sino-Portuguese shophouses down the road, so the name puts the two together: the hotel and the orange.
Yes. The bus terminal is a short walk, which makes onward travel to Krabi, Khao Lak or the Phi Phi ferry straightforward. Phuket International Airport is roughly 45 minutes by road.
